The first-ever Jhalak Dikhla Jaa aired on 7 September 2006 on Sony Entertainment channel. Mona Singh won the first season on 4 November 2006. The show’s hosts were Parmeet Sethi and Archana Puran Singh. Mona Singh is known for her role in the TV show Jassi. She has also acted in web series like Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain and Yeh Meri Family.
